The first thing you need to do is to ensure that your pet is not presented to the buyers until you have made sure that they comfortable with your pet. But, until then, it is best that your pets are kept out of the view of potential buyers

To do this, you have to make sure that your pet can be confined to a specific area not in the immediate view of any visitors. You also need to make sure that they do not create a ruckus in the area they are confined in. They should feel comfortable, so choose their area of confinement carefully.

Another important thing to ensure is that there are no pet stains and odors within the house. If your pets have stained the carpet or upholstery in the house, ensure that you either get the stains removed or get the fabric replaced. Clean the air in the house, vacuum it and spray some good room fresheners to take away any remnant odors.

If you have a pet that cannot be taken care of in this fashion, consider keeping it with family or friends until you have sealed the deal on the sale of your house.
