The surprising fact is that many people do not know much at all about their own neighborhoods. This is especially true today when money is tight and it seems you must work perhaps a second job just to keep up with basic needs. The kids get up very early with you and go off to school or daycare. You all arrive back home at dinner time, eat, prepare for bed, and that’s about it. The lucky ones may have a day, or at least part of one day, on the weekend to recreate or just relax. Another very important thing to know, especially if you have a home suitable for families and in a neighborhood likely to be inhabited by those with school aged children, is where they go to school. If the school has an award winning science program, know about it so you can share that with buyers who ask. Are there some excellent private schools or charter schools in your area? Explore these facts so you can share them.
Homes are basically the same. They have bedrooms, kitchens, baths, and living rooms. Everyone lives in a home. That means there are going to be buyers of all different kinds that will have a variety of interests. If you don’t know where to begin, go to your local Chamber of Commerce and they should be able to help you.
